Gancedo’s new contract textile collection

In this case, as well as opting for the latest trends in textile design, it’s important for the fabrics to be hard-wearing, practical, and  compliant with the required legal standards. With these special Contract sector requirements in mind, Gancedo offers a wide range of flame retardant and BioBlock materials, in other words, protected against viruses (Covid-19), bacteria and fungus. This is the case of one of the latest additions: the Creta collection, inspired by the rocky landscapes, mosaics and natural beauty of the Greek island of Crete. 

Fabrics wich combine quality, longetivy and protection

Contract fabrics are intended for spaces with an extremely high footfall and for this reason they need to combine a series of features which make them the best choice for this type of space. These requisites are that they must be flame retardant to guarantee the safety of users in case of fire; highly resistant to wear-and-tear, and antibacterial, having been treated to make them immune to all types of bacteria and viruses. Gancedo’s Creta collection meets all these requirements: featuring polyester FR weaves and thus flame retardant, they are protected against viruses (COVID-19), bacteria and fungus, thanks to BioBlock (Xtreme Antiviral Action) treatment, and they contribute to the soundproofing of the spaces in question. 

Sustanable

A special feature of this collection is that of being “made in Spain”: it is designed and manufactured by Gancedo in its own factory, thus forming part of the “KM 0” sustainability movement whose aim is to reduce the heavy ecological impact that comes with the transportation of raw materials thousands of kilometres away from their source. 

On-trend designs and colours

Interior designers and professionals in the sector are looking for fabrics which are appropriate for hospitality interiors, but which at the same time boast on-trend designs and shades. In this respect, the Creta collection comprises 4 different designs in a range of neutral tones, timeless and elegant, mixing and matching perfectly and suitable for any decorating scheme.  Ariadna (Ariadne) features an FR polyester fabric with thick lines in dark shades overlaying other, more slender ones in neutral colours. Dédalo (Daedalus) is a jacquard with a mosaic pattern shaped by an interlinked-tile design using horizontal and vertical lines. Cnosos (Knossos) features a marled pattern with irregular veins or stripes, creating a texture akin to marble. Teseo (Theseus) features mock plains which mix and match perfectly with the different fabrics, allowing the spotlight to be trained on the geometrical patterns, thus enhancing their harmoniously simple lines.    These designs come in shades of white, ecru, clay, copper, ochre, denim-blue…colours which convey serenity and foster relaxation and slow-living.
