Gancedo present their latest textile collections

Three collections – Soft London, Tricot and Net Curtains- mark a prolific start to the summer for Gancedo.Gancedo has designed their latest textile collections with the next season in mind: velvets, fire-resistant fabrics and a new collection of net curtains are their main textile innovations.Soft London, velvets inspired by the British capitalThis versatile velvet collection is woven with a luxurious viscose, which creates contrast against a backdrop of linen textures. Designs range from corals and ikats to geometrical: hexagons and stripes, or plain. The collection captures the spirit of a multicultural city – London -, vibrating with creativity. The Camden Jackards (iket design), Portobello (corals), Paddignton (hexagons) and Wimbledon (stripes) are available in five ranges of colors, which go from subtle combination of neutrals to bright, vibrant contrasting shades. Soho, the plain velvet, is woven with a very subtle patter of tree bark. This is created through the hair of the viscose and the linen-effected backdrop, which absorbs the color in varying degrees, offering luxurious quality and plenty of texture. It’s available in 10 pretty colors, which range from soft linen and nude tones, to brilliant colors inspired by precious stones and deep and sophisticated shades.Tricot, fireproof knitting pointThis knitting point is a revelation in decoration, specially in fireproof fabrics. It’s a material that allows the creation of very special curtains, blankets and cushions. At Gancedo we work with Trevira CS, a fireproof polyester material – suitable for contract (hotels) – that is similar to perlé. The new Tricot collection embraces the return to metallic colors, ice gray, anthracite black, mineral… its essence is the duality between simplicity and sophistication. The references are Taburiente and Teide: Taburiente is a knitting point with figure-of-eight patterns and Teide is a geometrical design, a dual-colored chessboard, anthracite and ice gray. Net Curtains’ 2016 collectionThis season’s net curtains are thin, smooth and delicate, with vaporous finishes. Made with linen and polyester in light colors (whites, grays, beiges…).Designs are geometrical, - as shown in the Plomado reference – or with fine stripes – as seen in the Diplomatic or Xiroco models – all of them with a pleasant touch and a surprising hang. Mestral is a salient design, due to it being made with stripes made with linen sailcloth and loose threads, the last two belonging to the Tramuntana collection, and therefore intertwining with its thicker linens, perfect for upholstery.
